Cowbells started ringing at Mississippi State games back in the 1930s and never quit. Davis Wade Stadium gets so loud the SEC tried to ban the bells, then gave up. The Stark is for the maroon and white crowd, the alumni who still keep a cowbell in the truck, and every Bulldog who knows Hail State means something.
